3 Day Marrakech to Fez via Desert

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazatte-Skoura – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges.
We will pick you up from your Riad/hotel in Marrakech at 8:00 a.m, before travelling over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) while enjoying superb views of the mountains and of the Berber Villages on the way. We will stop for lunch and tour the World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou – this famous kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 films. We will pass through Ouarzazate and continue towards the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley. We will visit Skoura Oasis with its authentic 17 century Kasbah, and The Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs where we will stay overnight in a hotel. After lunch, we will tour the famous kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, where many movies were filmed. This UNESCO site is a must-see on our journey.

After breakfast, we will depart to the Todra Gorge: a massive fault, rising to 300m in a narrow valley thick-studded with palm trees and Berber Villages. After lunch in the gorge, we will drive further into the desert to Merzouga, where we will stop near the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. From here we will take a camel ride (about one hour and a half) in order to get to your Bivouac Tent. We will spend the evening in a bivouac camp, enjoying a Berber dinner and sleeping in a traditional Nomad camel hair tent. As the sun sets, the dunes of Erg Chebbi come alive with vibrant colors, creating a stunning backdrop for our adventure.
